Correcting Small "Flaws"
Veneers are extremely thin ceramic overlays that are being permanently adhered to dentine and enamel by using a special adhesive technique. The ceramic shell is translucent and scores an excellent result identical to natural teeth. Minor malocclusion, tooth spaces, broken-off tooth edges and local discolourations can be corrected by means of veneers.
During the 1930s, movie stars made use of veneers to correct their smile and emphasize characteristic features. Nowadays, veneers are deeply enrooted in advanced dentistry. Advantages are obvious: Veneers spare healthy tooth substance and enable individual adaption of colour shade; they are made from stable biocompatible pressable ceramics and embody natural aesthetics. Pretty teeth reflect groomed appearance and embody vitality and soulfulness.
The preparation can be made very economically in layers of 0.2-1mm, dependent on the desired result.
Veneers constitute a longlasting provision which is also promoted by thorough care and frequent teeth cleaning.
Due to its chemical characteristics, ceramics do not dissolve in the mouth and therefore it is biologically compatible.
If you consider veneers after an extensive advising appointment, impressions are taken in order to model your teeth. Dental technicians can wax up the new tooth shape or tooth length and check via the model first, if the new teeth correspond to your perceptions.
After a wax-sup model, dental technicians can make a thin synthetic or wax cap which can be tried on on your teeth. You experience the three-dimensional feeling of your "new" teeth and can have a look into the mirror. During this stage, it is still possible to change for desired corrections. The resulting model is transferred into the final veneer by the dental technician via special proceedings.
